🏚 About the project
On February 24, 2022, a full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began. This has already led to thousands of victims among the peaceful civilian population, massive internal displacement and departure of millions of its residents outside Ukraine, and devastating destruction of homes.
The hero city of Irpin is one of those settlements in the Kyiv region that suffered the greatest destruction of the residential sector as a result of Russian shelling. During a month of fierce fighting, 70% of the city was damaged.
Unfortunately, the building located at the address: Ukraine, Kyiv region, Irpin city, 50 Tolstogo street, was not an exception, and suffered quite significant damage.
The roof, communications, windows were broken, 6 apartments burned down. 28 families were left without housing – that’s 80 people, including 12 children.

🏚 About the project
The residents of the building were left without a roof and without means of livelihood! Six apartments in the building are completely destroyed, burned to the ground. There is nothing left in these families. They have nowhere to live.

Given the difficult life circumstances in which the residents of the house found themselves, they cannot afford to carry out capital repairs of the house with their own funds.
Three residents are protecting the country from the enemy, one neighbor was lost during the evacuation, there is a large family that adopted three boys from the shelter, two pensioners, one of them disabled group 1, some residents also lost their jobs, businesses. Therefore, they are forced to ask for help from those who care.
The residents of the building appealed to the local authorities for help, but received the answer that “As of today, the infrastructure of the city of Irpin, together with residential buildings, is damaged by 70% (of which more than three thousand objects have been completely destroyed) due to the Russian aggression.” , it requires large financial investments for restoration. In the budget of the city of Irpin, there are no funds for the restoration of damages in the houses that suffered as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation” (the letter is attached).
UAH 280,950.00 ($7,300.00) is needed only for the development of project and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the house.

Small steps to a big victory

Even small funds will speed up reconstruction
The residents of the house urgently need to solve the issue of covering the roof of the house and rebuilding the upper floors, or they will finally lose everything. About five million hryvnias ($135,000.00) are needed to completely restore the life of the building, which is not an affordable amount for the residents of the building. Despite this, the residents of the house do not give up and have a great desire to rebuild the house in order to return home as soon as possible. The residents of the building dismantled the destroyed roof with their own hands, removed the garbage, in order to at least somehow protect the apartments and the building from damage due to precipitation.
